Cold and flu season – yuck! Get ahead of the game with a little bit of planning and organization.
In an effort to avoid getting sick in the first place, wash your hands frequently with soap and water.
Make sure your medicine cabinet is stocked with cough suppressants, throat lozenges, pain relievers, fever reducers and nasal spray. Most people don’t have huge medicine cabinets, so I suggest creating a bin or basket with all of your cold and flu go-to relief.
Keep a supply of Kleenex, antibacterial wipes and masks handy, as well.
With a little bit of organization, hopefully you can avoid a trip to the grocery store when you’re already feeling lousy. But if you do have to venture out, be a good citizen and protect those you come into contact with by doing your part to contain your germs.
Think about what brings you comfort when you’re not feeling well. Have soup, tea and honey on hand. And think about building yourself a cozy, wellness basket with all your favorite things: soft blankets, a couple of books you’ve been wanting to read but haven’t had the time for, a list of movies or TV shows you’ve been meaning to watch; whatever will help you pass the time between naps while you’re stuck in bed or on the couch.
Here’s hoping you don’t get sick this season, but hopefully a little “just-in-case” planning will help you pass the time if you do. If you have any organizing needs, I’m here to help you so give me a call.
